One of my goals this year is to take better care of my skin, and getting a facial at Laka Spa was a great way to kick start my new years goal of great skin care. My skin care regimen is pretty solid: I cleanse, tone, serum, retin-A, and moisturize, but a facial really helps to deep cleanse the skin.
Hotel Landing, home to Laka Spa is such a beautiful hotel, and the spa is wow! Laka Spa is probably one of the best spas I’ve been to. From the Nordic design, to the calming music, I couldn’t think of a great way to spend a few hours of my Saturday. The waiting area was so posh, from the egg chairs, to lounge chairs and snacks, I felt relaxed even before my facial. I felt so fancy.
Ok, so here’s the run down of the service I received.
My asesthecian Sarah, was super nice. She told me that Laka means ‘healing” in Swedish. I got the Pure Results Facial. Before we got started she asked me what I wanted to focus on, moisturizing or exfoliating. I asked for an exfoliating facial. We started off with some steam that included some essential oils, followed by some deep breathing. Next, she used a Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, that was about 7%. I don’t do anything pumpkin, but it surprisingly smelled great! She massaged my face with some Rosehip Seed Oil, followed by a White Tea Antioxidant Mask. She finished my facial with a Vitamin C Serum, and a Vitamin C Lotion. She used products from Naturopathic, which is designed to work for all skin types. Incase you were wondering, my skin type is normal to combination.
I also received a Deep Conditioning Hand and Arm Treatment, which was amazing! The warm Bee Balm, and massage felt SO good. I left feeling like a new lady.
If you’re local and looking for a lush spa experience, I highly recommend Laka Spa. You might even find yourself jonesing to stay at the Hotel Landing.
Do you get professional facials or get them done at home yourself?
Ooohhh so pretty! I wanna go! 😁
