Giving Back with Goodwill

I’m excited to partner with Goodwill and Herberger’s on their semi annual Goodwill Sale. With everything that’s going on in the world lately, it seems like we need positivity and good vibes now more than ever, which is why I’m excited to be giving back to my community. If you’ve never heard of the Goodwill Sale here’s a little background. Herbergers and Goodwill partner semi-annually for their Goodwill sale which aims to collect clothing and household textile in donations for Goodwill. As an incentive, shoppers receive a coupon for up to 30 percent off  to shop at Herberger’s. But it’s more than donating to get a coupon.  The revenue of the sale of the donations  in Goodwill create job placement and training services to benefit millions of people looking for work. Pretty awesome, right?

Now that fall is about upon us and the temperatures are dropping. Actually, the temps dropped here in Minneapolis the first week of September. I’m now focusing on refreshing my skin care routine because as seasons change it’s just smart to change things up.  Since I hit 30 two years ago, I’ve  been keeping up on my skincare, diligently. I hit up the Herberger’s beauty counter, because beauty products pretty much never go on sale. So those foundations, and serums you’ve been eyeing, now’s the time to buy them and save!

I started using Clinique when I was in college like a zillion years ago. I remember the calming effect it had on my skin, and my normal-combination skin needs it.

Serums: I was late to the serums bandwagon. I’ve only been using it for two years but this Lancome serum has long been on my list. I’ve used it a few times and I love it already. My skin feels so smooth. I highly recommend it! One of my blogger friends recommended it to me last year and I finally hopped on the bandwagon.

SPF: I don’t care what anyone says, I will never not use SPF. Not only does it protect your skin, it also helps keep the hyper pigmentation at bay.  These days I have been going makeup free, and this Clarins SPF is very rich, which protects my skin and also don’t require the need for a moisturizer afterward. If you have really dry skin, you may not want to skip moisturizer.

Whether you’re stocking up on beauty favorites that never go on sale, or picking up a few fall pieces; make sure you have your clothing and textile donations ready. What better time to purge and donate things you don’t use? The start of a new season always seems like a good idea to clean out the house.
