Why you shouldn’t worry about your character so much

One of the many things I love about instagram is never ending dose of inspiration! From Fashion, to Beauty, Lifestyle, travel, inspirational quotes, videos and memes that make your sides hurt form laughter is all within the possibility of that little app on your phone. A friend recently sent me a quote that saids “people should worry about their character rather than their reputation; since character is who we are, and reputation is what people think of us.” I agree with the latter part of the message, but it had me thinking deeper than the meme creator probably intended for the quote/meme. Nothing new for me.

If our character is who we are, that tells me that we have control over it. Our thoughts, actions/behaviors, our words; and if we have control over those things that make up our character, at any given time we can so change something about ourselves that we don’t like. So, it’s like why would anyone spend time worrying about who they are, if it’s within the possibility to change aspects of our characters that we don’t like?

So  cheers to living our authentic lives, that’s every evolving. Because to say you haven’t evolved is to say you haven’t grown, and who doesn’t want to grow?
