It’s been a while since I shared my updated natural hair products, so today I thought I’d share my current rotation. I recently mentioned my recent experience blowing out my hair, so right now healing my hair back to health is most important. The most heat, I’m using these days is my diffuser to dry my hair since the weather has cooled down some.
Lets get started.
I’ve been a fan of the Cantu Leave-in Conditioner for a while now. Luckily, I was able to try to whole Cantu Collection in September when I was sent their collection. You can read more about my thoughts in THIS post. If you’re heavy handed like me, a little bit goes a long way. It really does.
I’m so glad I took advantage of the September’s Curlbox Natural box because I’m loving these DevaCurl Decadence Products. So much so, I might, maybe do a review on my youtube. The entire box was 40 dollars where as these products would cost 87 dollars total. Call me a product junkie, but when I see a good deal, I scoop it up. So much so that I purchased two boxes.

The DevaCurl Decadence Conditioner is really moisturizing and the No Poo Shampoo is still a new concept for me. It cleanses your hair, but without lather. I can’t quite figure out what to describe or compare it to, but it smells clean and fresh. The Coconut Curl Styler, I absolutely love. It helps define my curls which is great because I have a lot of frizz after my blow out. The defining gel, I haven’t used extensively, but I can tell you this. If you’re looking for something to keep flyaways and frizz away, this stuff does that. I use it to seal the ends of my twist outs since the ends of my hair is not as curly. It adds a soft hold, which I love.
I’ve been LOVING the Amla Legend Moisture Remedy Shampoo and Condish! Since my blow out, my hair is feels a lot less dense, although soft, but somewhat dry so anything moisture is awesome. The Rejuvenating Oil, I use to seal my hair and unravel my twists for shine and minimize frizz.
The Kinky Kurly Knot Today is still one of my faves. It’s been in my arsenal since my transitioning days and that’s because it just WORKS. My hair tangles super easily which is weird, because it’s short, but this stuff is good at getting rid of the knots. Saves me lots of frustration. A little tip, try washing your hair in sections. This has helped in reducing the tangles and knots.
Let’s just say I don’t need any shampoos or conditioners for the next 4 months. I picked up the Shea Moisture JBCO shampoo to remedy my loose curls. Another product, not pictured I also picked up is the aphogee two step protein treatment. I’m a firm believer in this stuff. If you’re suffering from heat damage, you may want to try it. It’s helped SIGNIFICANTLY in reverting my curls. They’re not all back to the way they were, not sure it’ll ever be, but my hair in the back is no longer straight.
As you can see, I don’t have a lot of products listed here ( mostly shampoos and conditioners). I’m trying to manipulate my hair less and use less products. Being that I have a BUNCH of products in my cabinet, I occasionally use them, but I find myself reaching for these the most.
I hope you find this post helpful. Any question, don’t hesitate to ask. xo
