A few of my favorite styles over the past six months.
I posted on INSTAGRAM a few days ago, that I am getting bored with my hair and needed a change. It’s been six months since my big chop and it’s been amazing experimenting with my hair, trying new products and new hairstyles. I have never had my hair this short (maybe when I was 4 years old or so) and I’m amazed at how much I love my shorter hair. If you have not yet seen my bigchop video you can watch it HERE.
I’ve really admired the tapered cut and have been on the fence about tapering my fro. In some ways, I wish I’d had done it when my hair was much shorter, but indecision became me. This time around, I’m giving the tapered fro a serious consideration. Even though my hair has grown some in the past six months, I figured if I want to taper my hair, now’s the time to do it. Why now? while my hair has grown some, I would be much more apprehensive in cutting my hair after it fully grows out.
These are a few of the photos I that’s currently serving as inspiration. Hopefully I’m brave enough to take the plunge.

What do you guys think of the tapered look. If you’re natural, would you ever taper your fro?
I wouldn’t taper mine, but like you said if you want to experiment now is the time to do it. Just think that in 6 months you could have an even bigger fro 🙂

I know, that’s one of my hesitations and that my hair will grow out uneven. ugh, I need some change to my hair tho. I’m so bored. lol
i like the tapered look! It ads definition to your fro. If you decide to do it, I’ll be waiting for the pics!

It does add definition and it’s so edgy! we’ll see how brave I am. I’m so indecisive at times. lol.
Don’t worry about uneven growth. There are plenty of remedies for that; if youre feeling bored, by all means switch it up! I’ll never forget the day I decided to cut all of my hair off, it was scary liberating and I can honestly say that my pixie hair cut was the best style I’ve ever had! Now I’ve joined the natural cult (lol), whenever I get that Halle Berry itch, my hairstylist gets happy….weaves usually mean a big tip for her, haha!
Cut it, it grows back!
Sew it up, with proper care you could still have the hairstyle that you want, and will continue to grow evenly!
