This post was inspired by the best bubble bath ever. I’m a regular bubble bath gal,but earlier this week, as I relaxed in the tub with my deep conditioner in my hair, I felt most relaxed than I’ve ever felt in long time. I was oooing and aahhing (literally) because the water was just the right type of warm (more like HOT) and the smell of my bubble bath and bath salt were everything! I’m all for self care and taking time for yourself because life can get pretty hectic at times.
1) Take a Bubble Bath- I enjoy a good bubble bath. Grab your favorite bubble baths, bath salts, candles etc.. I love perusing the personal care section of Marshalls and TJMaxx. They carry the most affordable personal care products. incorporate things that relaxes and calms you. I enjoy watching netflix and drinking mimosas in the bath when the mood strikes.
2) Give yourself a pedicure- When I’m stressed, I opt for a pedicure/manicure. If anything, the massage chairs at the nail salon relaxes more than the pedicures at times. I indulge in pedicures rarely; but let’s face it, getting professional pedicures on the regular can add up. I recently purchased a Four in One Callus Remover at Marshalls for under 4 dollars and my heel has been unbelievably soft. I moisturize my feet with this foot balm I received in my October 2014 Cocotique’s box. It’s the perfect finishing touch.
3) Exfoliate/Scrub- There’s nothing I like more than applying lotion to freshly exfoliated skin. I’ve been using the Franks body scrub, in Cacao and the Tree hut Shea Sugar Scrub, which smells amazing.
4) Try an at home facial- I swear by the Biore pore strips. It’s unbelievable how well it works in removing blackheads. Try a facial mask that’s suited to your skin’s needs. I love the Queen Helene’s Mint Julep’s mask; it does a great job at absorbing the oil out of my face. You can also make your own DIY mask. Pinterest has many great options.
5) Flowers- There’s nothing like fresh blooms to brighten up a space. My favorite place to purchase flowers is Trader Joe’s. They carry a wide variety and their selections are quite affordable.
So next time you’re in need of a little R&R, these will be sure to do the relax and calm your little nerves.
Thanks for stopping by.
I need to give myself a facial I am feeling extra lazy today.
love this post! I am a big supporter of inexpensive at-home pampering. I really love the montagne jeunesse fabric facial masks; they’re kind of amazing & inexpensive. I also love Dr. Teal’s lavendar epsom salt baths! they’re incredibly relaxing; good for the muscles. I also add a glass of wine. #lush
