I had planned to arrive at The Palace of Versailles, early to beat the lines, but the odd however was not in my favour, which is fine. Versailles is a bit out of Paris, so I had to take the metro and the RER C (which took me forever to find). I arrived at Versailles around 9:15am, and the lines were incredibly long. So, if you plan to go, try and make it on the early side as to not wait in line. Luckily, the moved fast, and I had already purchased my ticket online, and was in within an hour. Versailles felt like a country all its own, as it is incrediby HUGE and the landscaping is impeccable. From the beautiful flowers to the lush green grass and trees, and the overall feel of the garden was quite peaceful. I maybe spent about 2-3 hours in the gardens alone. There’s so much to see and do, like I literally could spend a whole day in the garden alone.
This was probably one of my favorite rooms in the Palace, and I kept thinking about how great it would be to host a book club meeting here, drinking tea and eating Macarons! A girl can dream right?
The lines at Laduree in Champs Elysees was more than I’d cared to stand in the day before, so I took advantage of getting some macarons at Laduree in the Palace. I have to admit that the hype about their macarons may be true, because they were the softest, most moist and delicious macarons I’ve ever tasted. Especially the raspberry flavor, was a bit a heaven burst in my mouth.
I decided to wear these super comfy WayF pants from Nordstrom because I knew I’d be walking all day, and I later switched into my flats because almost 6 hours at Chateau de Versailles calls for comfy shoes.
Enjoying reading about your trip and will be referring back to it soon as my hubby and I re planning a trip to that area soon! That palace lives up to its title of a palace! Looks so luxurious yet old world. Btw love your outfit. Looks comfortable but stylish!!
