After a full day at Chateau Versailles (sounds fun to say), I headed back to my apartment and rested for an hour or so before heading out to meet an old friend from college who lives in Paris. I headed out to my usual metro stop, Blanche, which is adjacent the Moulin Rouge, and headed out for my first night in Paris.
We had dinner at Les As Os. It was one of those restuarants that you just stumble across, it seemed like. The huge round cheese is called Pata Negra., and the other was tarte au fromage de chevre. I love cheese so that, could have been my main course, except I was starving.
Dinner was amazing. I ordered steak and potatoes, which I imagine I was too hungry to remember to take photo of. Apparently, bread, wine and cheese is so very french. I’m a cheese head, so I really enjoyed the cheese, and the bread. The wine, not so much. My friend and her cousin told me all about their life in Paris, and taught me how to properly pronounce french words. LOL!

Champs Elysees at Night– That’s the Arc de Triomphe monument further down the street |
After Dinner, we hopped on a bus to Champs Elysees for ice-cream at Haagen Daz. I mean, I didn’t take much pictures in Haagen Daz, because honestly I was soaking it all in. Only in Paris, you’ll find a two story ice cream shop/ sit down restaurant fully packed midweek at midnight.
