I’ve been thinking of doing a juice cleanse. Although, I’ve got to admit, the thought of not eating all the things I love, which are not necessarily the best for my body seems daunting. Since I am not yet ready to splurge on a juice cleanse, (they can run you up to 200 bucks for a few days) I attempted concoct a green smoothie. I’ve attempted to make smoothies in the past, and they’ve never made it onto the blog, well because the result was less than amazing.
HERE’s what I used:
A handful of Spinach
A handful of Kale
Half an apple
One stalk of Celery
One cup of Old Home Vanilla Yogurt
(you can use plain yogurt as well)
A slice of Lemon
1/cup of coconut juice
1/2 cup of orange juice
One cup of Ice
1/2 pack of chia seeds
Blend all together and top with chia seeds.
