Every time life gets busy, my blog is the first to be put on the back burner. I love blogging, but sometimes work and life gets overwhelming and a well deserved break is needed. I spent my 30th birthday in New York, and it was the best time I’ve had in a while. My 30th birthday was super low key. I attended a few fashion week events, and met a few blogger friends IRL, which is always nice. I wish I’d taken more pictures, but I really was all about exploring the City. I just wanted to share a few photos with you from the trip. see below:
I stopped by the Essence StreetStyle Festival before heading to the Reward Style Fashion Week Party, and the Mode party, so I wasn’t able to stay a long as I would’ve liked. My friend sent me this beautiful African Print Skirt that I wore to the festival. See outfit HERE.
Being that this was my first time being in the City during Fashion Week, I was really excited to attend the RewardStyle Fashion Week Party at Hotel Americano. The appetizers were beyond amazing. I quickly changed from the African Print Skirt to this dress which I bought the day before at a sample sale at Chelsea Market. Shira was my partner in Crime during fashion week events. We attended the Lulu’s Fashion week party together, as well as the RS party, and Mode FW event.
I didnt take very many pictures from the Mode Party because honestly, everyone was so engaging. Oh, the Mode Swag bag was pretty clutch too. (I said clutch, lol) I finally got to meet Lauren, and Naty IRL. They’re both such sweethearts.
On my birthday 9/14, I was invited to the Tresseme Studio in SoHo to have my hair did. I had previously blown my hair out at a Dominican Salon (which damaged my curl pattern) and didn’t like it much so I needed a touch up on my mane. Edward, my stylist gave me really cool side braid, that I wore the entire day.
Thanks for stopping by, and reading guys! I promise to be back to regular OOTD posts soon.
PS. I’m heading to Chicago a few weeks for a natural hair event. It’s been a while since I’ve been to chicago so I’m super excited about this trip. If you’re from Chicago or have some fun recommendations, I’d love to hear them. Have a great weekend, loves! xo
