Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was amazing for so many reasons, and to top it off, the weather was gorgeous. I love this time of year because the lakes are busy with people dog walking (on a leash, thankfully), laying out, canoeing, going on bike rides, and just out and about enjoying the weather. I wore this tiered ruffle dress as a cover up for a casual laid back look.

I took an elective course in  grad school on working with returning veterans, I remember we read the book ‘Courage After Fire’ and it gave me a profound appreciation for the service Men and Women who risked and are risking their lives to protect our Freedom. and Safety.
